Today HMD Global has announced the start of the rollout of the Android 10 update for the Nokia 7.2. This phone was released last September, running Android 9 Pie. Although it, like most other Nokias, is part of the Android One program, which in theory should ensure quick Android OS upgrades, obviously that's not working out as it should. Android 10 has already been out for more than six months at this point, and countless other handsets that aren't part of Android One have been updated to this version. AI tool finds 3 coronavirus signs that often lead to a severe case
- Most coronavirus cases are mild or moderate, and some people might not even experience any symptoms before they recover from COVID-19.
- The elderly and those suffering from other medical conditions may experience more severe COVID-19 cases, which could require oxygenation and ventilation.
- Researchers used artificial intelligence to find three signs that can accurately predict a severe outcome, including two parameters that are routinely tested in hospitals.

The novel coronavirus outbreak is far from being under control, with COVID-19 ravaging several countries at the moment. The US alone has accounted for nearly 175,000 cases of the more than 818,000 cases worldwide at the time of this writing. Italy is topping the casualty list with over 11,500 deaths and a fatality rate of 11.39%. Social distancing measures and good hygiene habits should significantly flatten the curve, but the results won’t be seen for several more weeks. The lower the curve, the less crowded the hospitals will be. That way, the severe COVID-19 cases will have a better chance of surviving the disease, which still lacks an effective treatment or vaccine.
Several such drugs are in testing, with some of them showing promise in limited trials. Plenty of vaccines are in the works as well, with at least two trials already underway. But there might be another untapped resource that could help doctors create therapies that could assist critical COVID-19 patients: Artificial intelligence. A new study shows that AI has been able to highlight three COVID-19 symptoms that are indicative of severe COVID-19 complications. Interestingly enough, it’s not the most common coronavirus symptoms that signal rapid deterioration after infection. If the discovery can be scaled up to more patients, it could potentially save more lives in the months ahead.

Marriott data breach exposes 5 million guests' information. Again.
Marriott International has announced a massive data breach that exposed over 5 million hotel guests' information. No, not that breach. It's a new one this time.
"At the end of February 2020, we identified that an unexpected amount of guest information may have been accessed using the login credentials of two employees at a franchise property," the international hotel chain wrote on Tuesday. "We believe this activity started in mid-January 2020."
According to Marriott International, the breach exposed information such as customers' personal and contact details, loyalty account information, airline loyalty programs, and room preferences. 'Beauty and the Beast' parody stresses the importance of social distancing

SpaceX’s first crewed operational mission just doubled its passengers
- SpaceX will launch four NASA astronauts and one astronaut from Japan's JAXA space agency on its first operational crewed mission to the International Space Station.
- The launch is tentatively scheduled for later this year but will entirely depend on the success of SpaceX's crewed test flight slated to take place in late May.
- It's unclear if the coronavirus pandemic will affect the test or operational launch dates, but for the moment the schedule remains intact.

SpaceX's first operational crewed launch for NASA will include a total of four astronauts. This is up from the previous total of just two and was announced via a NASA press release. The space agency revealed the addition of NASA's Shannon Walker and Soichi Noguchi of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). The pair will be joining the previously-announced duo of NASA astronauts Michael Hopkins and Victor Glover Jr.
All four travelers will be making their way to the International Space Station via a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule launched atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The launch will mark the first operational mission for SpaceX and will come after the first SpaceX crewed test flight, which is currently scheduled to launch by late May.

Los Angeles-based challenger bank HMBradley officially opens its virtual doors
The Los Angeles-based digital challenger bank, HMBradley, opened its virtual doors to the public today, allowing the thousands of waitlisted would-be users to set up direct deposits and collect their sign-up bonuses.
The company is offering banking customers an up to 3% return on their savings based on the percentage they save of their quarterly deposits.
HMBradley also set up a new feature which allows users to save towards specific goals.
Backed by PayPal founder Max Levchin’s HVF Labs, along with Walkabout Ventures, Mucker Capital, Index Ventures, and Accomplice, to the tune of $3.5 million, HMBradley was designed to benefit savers, the company said.
Account holders with balances up to $100,000 can receive up to 3% annual percentage yields on their accounts. These account holders qualify by receiving one direct deposit and saving at least 5% of the total amount deposited in an account monthly.
HMBradley accounts are held through Hatch Bank, which is FDIC insured.
To qualify for the 3 percent rate, customers need to save over 20 percent of their income, account holders who save between 15 percent and 20 percent receive 2 percent of their cash per year, and those saving less than 15 percent but more than ten percent receive a 1 percent APY.
“We want to empower and protect every consumer financially to show them that a bank can be on their side, regardless of how much money they make,” said Zach Bruhnke, co-founder and CEO of HMBradley, in a statement.
Account holders have access to 55,000 fee-free ATMs around the country, mobile check deposit and around-the-clock support, the company said.
The company’s MasterCard comes with all of the standard features including zero liability protection and an ability to set up travel, fraud alerts, and cancel cards all through an online portal, the company said.

For the record, there is actually a whole genre of fitness games for mobile that has nothing to do with the player working out. Basically, the app keeps track of your various stats and academics use it as source material for studies. Every time you log your stats, you get points. You eventually trade those points for prizes. Since there are prizes, this totally counts as a game. In any case, the app is free to download and use.
Burn Your Fat With Me

Who’s ready to get into the weird fitness games? Burn Your Fat With Me is a dating simulator with a fitness element. The game plays a lot like a Doctor Layton or Phoenix Wright game. However, instead of building cases or solving puzzles, you’re trying to burn fat. The player works their way through various in-game achievements such as doing 50 sit-ups in three minutes and those achievements progress the story. The visual novel and dating sim aspect is something you don’t see everyday. The one linked at the button below is for the fellas and there is a separate one for ladies as well. These are two of the weirdest fitness games we found. God bless Japan.
CycleCast

CycleCast is an interesting app if you have a stationary bike at home. It lets you basically take spin classes at home with real instructors, music, and other fun elements. The app includes over 800 cycling workouts in 20, 30, 45, and 60 minute increments. It’s not quite a game, but it alleviates the boredom of working out all by yourself with no interaction. There are several apps like this, including CycleGo, Arcade Fitness, and others that add a few game elements in from time to time. Peloton is also a popular option for stationary cyclists.
Fitness RPG
Price: Free to play
Fitness RPG is, at its core, a simple mobile gacha game. It has the usual stuff like turn-based combat, various heroes to play with, online PvP, and a story to play through. It even has an energy system to limit how much you play. However, you can overcome that limit by walking. The app doubles as a pedometer and gives you free energy to play the game as you walk. You can connect Google Fit or Fitbit to the app so it doesn’t have to count your steps. The game itself is a bit repetitive and not the most inspiring in the genre. Its pedometer function makes unique, though, and perfect for a list like this.
Pokemon Go and similar games

There are a number of augmented reality games that promote walking around to get stuff. The most popular of them is Pokemon Go. You go outside, walk around, spin Poke Stops for loot, fight other players at gyms, and catch Pokemon. You absolutely cannot play this game at home and you get more stuff the more you walk around. Niantic has a few other games if Pokemon isn’t your thing, including Harry Potter: Wizards Unite and Ingress. Walkr

Walkr is a hybrid of a fitness game and an adventure game. Players walk around and the game keeps track of the steps. It then uses those steps to move players around the game universe. The game has 50 planets to discover, various missions to complete, and a goal to help you reach 10,000 steps per day. The missions affect the game world so you kind of build things as you go. The game worked mostly fine during our testing, but some players filed complaints about the app not always registering steps.
Wokamon
Price: Free to play
Wokamon is a hybrid between a fitness game and a Tamagotchi style simulator. The concept isn’t much different from other games on the list. You walk a bunch of steps and it gives you in-game stuff. Players earn more Wokamons as they walk and that’s the center premise of the game. The energy they gain from our walking helps save their planet. In any case, it’s a cute little game with a surprisingly small amount of player interaction. You log in, take a walk, and then use the energy for in-game stuff and that’s about it.
Zombies, Run!
Price: Free / $3.99 per month / $24.99 per year
Zombies, Run! is a game for walkers, runners, and joggers. The game starts when you start your exercise and progresses as you cover more distance. There are over 300 total story missions to complete and many of them have you literally running away from a zombie horde and not finishing the level until you run far enough. It’s one of the original fitness games on mobile and its had a long time to mature. The subscription cost helps support the developer as they come out with new content. It’s relatively cheap compared to most fitness subscriptions, and we like that.
Zwift
Price: Free / Varies
Zwift is another cycling game for people with stationary bikes at home. This one is actually a game. You connect your device to Zwift and then quite literally race other players. There are over 1,000 structured workouts, various games, and some other stuff you can do. The upside is that it’s a lot more fun to race people than it is to bike alone. However, the downside is you do need some sort of sensor such as the Zwift Run Pod or a Wahoo RPM Cycling and Cadence Sensor to connect to the app. There are multiple products to choose from, but you do need one to use this app.
Fitness games on other platforms
Price: Varies
Mobile isn’t the best platform for this kind of stuff. There are a bunch of workout games for other platforms or, at least, games that get your blood pumping during regular game play. Some notable examples include Ring Fit Adventure, Just Dance 2020, and Fitness Boxing on the Nintendo Switch along with Beat Saber on the Oculus Rift and PS4. Of course, you have options like the old Wii Fit and plenty of others. If you own other video game systems, it’s worth Googling those platforms to see if there are any workout games for your consoles.

Many of you, in fact, are probably stuck at home right now thanks to either a quarantine order that's also temporarily closed up businesses and other gathering places around your city. But that doesn't mean there aren't still ways you can "virtually" get out of the house and explore a bit of the world around you, right from your couch.

Brazil’s Bolsonaro urges no more coronavirus quarantine, says jobs being lost

Facebook deletes Brazil President’s coronavirus misinfo post
Facebook has diverted from its policy of not fact-checking politicians in order to prevent the spread of potentially harmful coronavirus misinformation from Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. Facebook made the decisive choice to remove a video shared by Bolsonaro on Sunday where he claimed that “hydroxychloroquine is working in all places.” That’s despite the drug still undergoing testing to determine its effectiveness for treating COVID-19, which researchers and health authorities have not confirmed.
“We remove content on Facebook and Instagram that violates our Community Standards, which do not allow misinformation that could lead to physical harm” a Facebook spokesperson told TechCrunch. Facebook specifically prohibits false claims regarding cure, treatments, the availability of essential services, and the location or intensity of contagion outbreaks.
BBC News Brazil first reported the takedown today in Portuguese. In the removed video, Bolsonaro had been speaking to a street vendor, and the President claimed “They want to work”, in contrast to the World Health Organization’s recommendation that people practice social distancing. He followed up that “That medicine there, hydroxychloroquine, is working in all places.”
If people wrongly believe there’s an widely-effective treatment for COVID-19, they may be more reckless about going out in public, attending work, or refusing to stay in isolation. That could cause the virus to spread more quickly, defeat efforts to flatten the curve, and overrun health care systems.
This why Twitter removed two of Bolsonaro’s tweets on Sunday, as well as one from Rudy Giuliani, in order to stop the distribution of misinformation. But to date, Facebook has generally avoided acting as an arbiter of truth regarding the veracity of claims by politicians. It notoriously refuses to send blatant misinformation in political ads, including those from Donald Trump, to fact-checkers.
Last week, though, Facebook laid out that COVID-19 misinformation “that could contribute to imminent physical harm” would be directly and immediately removed as it’s done about other outbreaks since 2018, while less urgent conspiracy theories that don’t lead straight to physical harm are sent to fact-checkers that can then have the Facebook reach of those posts demoted.
Now the question is whether Facebook would be willing to apply this enforcement to Trump, who’s been criticized for spreading misinformation about the severity of the outbreak, potential treatments, and the risk of sending people back to work. Facebook is known to fear backlash from conservative politicians and citizens who’ve developed a false narrative that it discriminates against or censors their posts.
